    presentation at LEGARE’s
This is a post card (Front and back) that I made for this cafe as a flyer. This face and quote are the customer who often come to this cafe and enjoy the lavender coffee here.
I made the face out of type face using word ‘Italy,’ ‘Legare,’ and ‘Daniel (the customer’s name)’ related to this cafe.

    Presentation at cafe
I posted the flyer I made for cafe at around the coffee shop. I have another kind of flyer, but I don’t have the original one. However, I post the other kind of flyer as a picture on “the presentation for the last project.”

    Review from Urban Museum

After walking around Portland State University, and imagined that I was in a museum. I saw different objects or things there, but an art work that impressed me was the designed wall that was a photograph of books which were popular books from PSU library. I liked the balance of the colors of piled books. Also the variety of typefaces for book titles was very interesting to look at, because they are not the same typefaces, my eyes catches them and make e stay there to enjoy looking at the wall. Another thing that I like about this work is you can vary recognize where the entrance for the building because the entrance and the book color from the work has a similar color. There is a depth of the entrance door, so the door color, dark green, makes darker. This technique camouflages the entrance and illuminates the oddness of borderlines between wallpaper and the entrance. However, there is a question that came up with; why does this designer choose this building and wall to hang this photograph?

    Grid

Oops, I forgot to post this reading assignment… I’m  sorry.

This book helped me understanding grid more. So, grid is a way of organizing content on a page using margins, guides, rows, and columns. I really like Stankowski’s style because he uses grid well on his design, simple, clean, and organized.

I enjoyed reading about golden section, especially talking about the formula of the golden section.

I really like this book because it explains well, easier to understand, about basic things about typography and layout.

I also looked up this website(http://www.thegridsystem.org/) that helps me understand grid.
